David and Amy were absolutely amazing!!! After our intial meeting with David, I told my (then-to-be) husband that they were the perfect fit. David's infectious laugh got anyone who was being photographed to smile big (no matter how much our cheeks hurt). Amy was so great with directions and keeping everyone on task and focused, especially during formals. They were so extremely easy to work with. The most amazing part about the David and Amy Lau duo is the fact that they DO NOT miss anything, yet they are invisible at the same time. So many of our guests commented on the fact that the photographers never got in their way, yet they were both taking pictures consistently throughout the ceremony and reception. This ensured that they didn't miss a funny moment, a love-struck look, or a kiss. When first looking at our pictures, it was so nice to see the little looks my husband and I gave each other during our ceremony and reception that I didn't even remember about. It just reinforced with us how special our day was. The day honestly went by in a blur, but the pictures keep reminding us of every little part that made our wedding day so amazing. On top of all of this, the pictures came out AMAZING! I cannot even explain to any reader of this review how beautifully the pictures came out. They really took their time and edited each and every picture. They played with the lighting and contrast of the pictures (not sure if I'm using the correct photography terms) and I can honestly say that each picture came out perfect. Not only did they give us one disc of pictures, but they also gave us a backup disc and a high-resolution print out of each photo (all 800 of them!) If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider David and Amy Lau. I promise you that you will not...

David and Amy were outstanding!! Their work is absolutely incredible and one of a kind. We loved working with them!!

David and Amy's work speaks for itself, this much is obvious from the photos featured on their blog (webiste/ facebook page) but their professionalism and easy-going disposition is what truly makes them unique photographers. My husband has an acute sensitivity to camera flash and subsequently can't help but close his eyes when he detects the first part of the flash, so his eyes appear closed in about 95% of photographs (because of this sensitivity, my husband HATES posing for photos). If you can imagine, we were less than super-psyched to make David and Amy aware of this problem, as we thought it would be a source of frustration for them given the nature of their business. When we finally got around to telling them (about 1 month prior to our engagement session), not only did they not make a big deal out of it, they immediately started brainstorming possible ways to get around the problem (shooting from alternate angles, integrating distance, etc). My husband was so relieved but still not looking forward to our engagement session (like I said earlier, he HATES photos). You can imagine my surprise when we got in the car to drive home from the engagement session when he said... "That was fun, they're great." I owe it all to David and Amy. They had us cracking up all day and the wedding was the same. They really listen to what you want and execute perfectly. They're not cheap, but totally worth the investment, we LOVE our wedding photos!!! David and Amy are especially good at capturing the emotion of the moment in their candids, these are our favorites :)

Despite the sweltering heat during our wedding day, David and Amy were very patient and professional. They were so pleasant to work with and the quality of the photos were phenomenal. My wife and I highly recommend them.

David and Amy did an amazing job on all our photo sessions. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, give us everything we asked for and more, and gave us unbelievable pictures that captured our wedding day in the most beautiful way. They also adjusted their own personal plans to take our "trash the dress" photos on our honeymoon in Maui. Now my husband and I have AMAZING pictures on a Hawaiin beach at sunset. They treated us as if we were their family and not just clients. By far, the best decision we made for our wedding!

David and Amy were our photographers for our engagement pictures and wedding ceremony/reception. They are incredibly professional and gifted photographers. They captured every important moment with exquisite detail and perfection. They meet every one of our needs. They arrived early for our sessions. They were flexible. They did everything they said they would do. The quality of their work was exceptional. Also, at our wedding ceremony and reception they were very respectful of the space and never intruded. Their style is photojournalistic, although they were open to doing posed shots that were important to us. The turnaround time was very quick - within 1 month our photos were online. A short time later we received the DVDs with all the pictures, 4x6 prints of all the pictures AND a slideshow that they put together. If I had really understood quality of their work, I might not have gotten a videographer. I give my highest recommendation to David and Amy. My husband and I absolutely love our pictures. In fact, we are giving many of them away as Christmas gifts this year.

I don't even know where to start with how pleased my husband and I are with the professionalism and absolute talent that we experienced with David and Amy lau photography. From start to finish they both made us feel comfortable and at ease that they would go above and beyond to capture the images and look we were going for our wedding which was modern chic. They knew how to mix in traditional pictures with pictures thatnwere from more of a photojournalistic point of view. The team set up and amazing photo booth that was a great hit with my friends and family as well. They also allotted time for all the extra family shots. Everything that was provided was prompt was the highest quality of work.I would highly recommend all engaged couples to set up a meeting with this husband and wife team so you can see first hand their art work in the form of photojournalism. Now we have pictures that we can enjoy for the rest of our lives!!!

They are extremely professional, kind, caring individuals who devoted 100% of themselves and their time to us. They were readily available at any given time during our engagement to answer any questions and were exceptional on our wedding day. We had David and Amy provide photography for our wedding. They were absolute professionals, attentive throughout a long day, and enthusiastic. They are extremely passionate about what they do, and you're never left with the sense that your wedding is "just another wedding."--they treat it as your special day with individual attention. The quality of their photos and shots were excellent, and their editing was phenomenal as well. Beyond the quality of service, they're also wonderful people who were fun to be around. 5 stars because we can't give 6.

David and Amy are amazing. They not only have great personalities but also do amazing work. They surpassed our expectations and we are extremely happy with the quality of our engagement and wedding pictures. Photography was very important to us and it took us a while to find exactly what we were looking for. Once we met with David, we both knew that we had found the photographer for us. David and Amy clearly love what they do - and they are fantastic at it!!! We felt comfortable with them right away, enjoyed their creativity, artistry, sense of humor and professionalism. David and Amy are highly recommended! They are truly professionals and capture amazing photo-journalistic pictures. Their fancy equipment and resulting work is top notch! Everyone has been raving about our pictures. Throughout the entire process, they were extremely personable, timely and so easy to work with! They did a great job of hiding in the shadows which resulted in amazing candid pictures. We absolutely love our wedding pictures!

We can\'t say enough good things about David and Amy! We got along with them so well from our very first meeting. They were a blast to work with. I loved the photos they took. They are willing to do anything for a good shot (even go up to there knees in the ocean!). I am looking forward to a time when we can work with them again.

We hired David and Amy Lau for our wedding in September 2010. I would highly recommend them! I loved the photos from their website and after meeting with David, we decided we had to book them. They were very professional and personable. David was the only vendor we didn't have to track down weeks before the wedding, he contacted us to discuss last minute details, etc. I think it's very important to be comfortable in front of your photographers, and we felt at ease with David and Amy. The photos they took at our wedding are gorgeous, I have received so many compliments. David and Amy's photos captured the feeling of our wedding perfectly. And the slideshow they put together for us was an added bonus to show friends and family. They also took some of the most amazing photos of everyone dancing at the reception. I don't know how they managed to get some of those shots without getting their cameras knocked out of their hands, the dance floor was so crowded! My only regret is not having more time with them! We got the 9 hour package, but we would have loved an extra hour or two.

David and Amy are AMAZING! We cannot say enough great things about them - in terms of the quality of their work, their professionalism and their wonderful personalities. David and Amy were so much fun to have around on our wedding day and kept us laughing throughout the hours of pictures. Everyone has been raving about our pictures - I can't stop looking at them. I may be biased, but they are the best and most creative and artistic wedding pictures I have seen. It's going to be hard to pick out the ones for the album. We went to see a bunch of photographers and David and Amy were the best by far! We highly recommend them.

David and Amy photographed our wedding in August of 2010 and did an amazing job. From start to finish they impressed us with their professionalism, creativity, and quality of work. Above all, they made us feel relaxed through the whole process. We never had any doubts about what we were going to get once we got to meet them. They take the time to get to know you, find out your likes/dislikes, and outline how the event will be shot. They are also wonderfully flexible and creative, finding unique moments throughout the day that capture the spirit of the entire event. It was such a pleasure to work with two people who are truly masters of their craft and we couldn't be happier with the results!

My new husband and I just met with David and Amy last week to view our proofs for the very first time-They were nothing short of amazing! We cannot wait to have our album and framed pictures in our home! I have several pictures hanging up at work, and colleagues and parents cannot get over how amazing they look! Throughout the entire process, they have been extremely professional, personable, timely and wonderful to work with! They are quite a team, and our friends and family continue to tell us how funny, out-going and charming they were! Working with David and Amy was worth every single penny and I promise you will not be disappointed! They are awesome photographers, but more importantly, awesome people!

The creative eye behind the camera creates magic on print. Clever ideas for places to take pictures and angles to take photographs is amazing. You will not be disappointed with your photos and it will be tough to choose which one isn't the best!!

We could not be happier that we selected David and Amy as our wedding photographers for our June 25th wedding! After seeing about 6-7 wedding photographers, we started to become frustrated that we would not be able to find a great photographer in our budget but then we met with the Laus. We were blown away by their pictures...they capture moments and details of the day as opposed to corny-posed pictures and their work was beautiful and creative! The couple also has a passion for their work and is on top of the lastest technologies. It was also important to us to have vendors that were friendly and fun...afterall we would be spending one of the most important days of our lives with them. David and Amy are such a fun couple..they felt more like friends then wedding vendors. At the same time, they were very professional always returning emails and calls promptly. We knew right away, we HAD to have them for our wedding and booking them was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process!! Our pictures are so beautiful and unique and something we will cherish forever. Also, it should be mentioned that David and Amy lost a VERY close family member only days before our wedding. We thought for sure that they would not be able to attend and honestly we would have understood. Considering the circumstances, I'm not sure if I myself would have been able to go. But they both came in high spirits and did an amazing job! I feel incredibly grateful that they put aside their own grief and pain to help make our day the best it could be. What more could you ask for in a vendor?!! I also wanted to add that we originally did not book an engagement session but added one a few months before our wedding and I am soo glad we did. The session gave us a chance to feel comfortable in front of the camera and get to know David & Amy better. (Plus we felt like celebrities getting our picture taken all around our town). If you have not yet booked your wedding photographer, call David & Amy immediately!! You will be so so happy you did!!
