Mia is the nicest most down to earth person I dealt with during my whole wedding planning experience. She suggested the perfect dress for me. It was gorgeous. Comfy. Great fit. Perfect for the venue and feel of our wedding. My bridesmaid dresses were stunning and very flattering. I was very happy with my overall experience.

I had gotten my dress and my bridesmaids dresses from them and they were all wonderful. I have no complaints other than make sure you go on a weekday. I went on a weekend and it was a bit crazy.

I am going to assume this is the same David's Bridal of Westbury.
My dress was beautiful. If it wasn't for my mother and sisters, I would have definitely walked away from David's Bridal. The assosiates there are so unprofessional and as soon as one person got the commission, forget about being helped after that. I have so many complaints with them. I'll just explain the one that got to me the most.
I ordered my dress 1 year before my wedding, with guaranteed to be in the store by the last week of February. I go to pick it up after making a number of trips to pick up the number of separate pieces that trickled in, to find the orange damaged arrow on the sash of my dress. It was obvious the dress was not perfect. We paid a lot of money NOT to get a perfect dress. My sister had to hunt the associate down who was supposed to be helping us. She looked at it, took the sticker off and said the dress is not damaged. So the dirt and the crinkle is what was supposed to be a smooth sash was a figment of my imagination. We stood there and argued a few minutes. It wasn't until I pointed out a big black spot at the bottom of the dress, that she finally agreed a new dress was to be ordered. The new dress came in June. Again no associate to help me. I could have just walked out of the store with the dress and no one would have stopped me.
Needless to say, my sister who is getting married in June is not going to David's Bridal.

I used David's Bridal because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on my wedding dress, I wanted to put it towards the party! I found a dress I loved, so for that I was very happy, but the professionalism and care I received during the rest of my experience at David's Bridal was pathetic. Their customer service is embarassingly bad. I also used them for my bridesmaid dresses (the price can't be beat!) and they didn't call my girls when their dresses came in, and many were almost shipped back to their warehouse because they weren't picked up in time, when the girls weren't even called! They charge for fittings, they are not flexible in scheduling pick up dates- since I didn't live nearby (4+ hours away) I had to beg them to let me pick up my dress on a different day than their automatic pick up day. In the end my dress wasn't perfect, but my wedding was a great party, I'm married to the man I love, and just had to deal with the unprofessionalism of David's Bridal along the way.

JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU DAVIDS BRIDAL HAS THE SAME DRESSES AS OTHER STORES FOR LESS MONEY. GREAT PRICES FOR BEAUTIFUL DRESSES.

Love Davids! They're prices are awesome and my dress came out beautiful once it was altered by their seamstress who was very helpful. The service is fabulous. I ordered a dress and it came in a month and a half before my wedding. When I tried it on again, it was so big on me from losing weight that the seamstress told me I was better off getting a size down. So they rush ordered me the size down and when I tried it on THREE WEEKS before my wedding I fell out of love with it and wanted something totally different. The staff there really helped me to find a new dress, and made sure it came in on time and have the alterations done a week before my big day. They were truly amazing!

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at David's Bridal. They were helpful, inexpensive and kind. I actually purchased one dress from DB and then fell in love with a new one there a few weeks later and they were kind enough to exchange it for me. My alterations were perfect and they even remembered me when I went back after the wedding and were very interested in all the details. Thank you so much for all your help!

I went to the David's Bridal in Westbury. My favorite thing about David's Bridal is the selection of choices and the affordability. It also made things really easy given that I had bridesmaids from out of town.
My consultant was great. She helped me sort through a variety of dresses and listened to what I had to say. She was extremely helpful getting me in and out of the dresses. It got a little awkward when the manager started helping out - granted she pulled the dress that I ended up choosing, but she made a big deal about how she sealed the deal, not the consultant even though it was the consultant who had spent all the time with me.
As for the bridesmaids dresses - two of my BM came with me to try some on & it was as though they were all after a commission (not even sure if they get any?) - everyone wanted to be the one to take the order. I loved the dress that I chose, and it looked great on all my girls with different body types. My only problem was that my MOH was the first to buy her dress & she had an extra piece that nobody else was supposed to buy. Without my knowledge, the extra piece was added to the computer for all the girls. Thankfully another BM alerted me & I was able to have my BM who already purchased the piece get a full refund and it was removed from the list for the others.
Alterations - what I was most upset about was lack of communication. My fitter was very kind but she did not help me into or out of the dress, and she just expected me to know when to turn without telling me which way to go. Then I was just given a date to come back for my next appointment, never shown a calendar or asked when was best for me. When I went back for my second fitting I almost panicked - the hem was completely wrong (too short). The person who fit me initially fit me, thankfully figured out that whoever had sewn my dress had added an extra layer of pick-ups and my fitter completed the work herself. My appointment for picking up the dress was changed twice by her though. All was right when I picked up the dress. and it looked beautiful on the day. Bustle was a bit of a challenge and I don't know that it stayed the whole night, but wasn't that big of a deal.
Westbury store is often crowded and getting help is kind of difficult.

The lady at Davids Bridal that helped me try on wedding dresses was awesome. She was very responsive to my wants and pulled all the dresses I wanted to try. She actually picked one dress for me that she thought would be great on me and asked me to try it on last. It was a lace, mermaid dress that I would not have picked! After trying on the ones I thought I liked, I tried on her choice. It ended up being The Dress! She captured my personality and picked the dress perfect to my shape. I was very please with the friendliness and great help I received. I promised to bring a picture back for them :-)

I did most of my shopping from David's online. My dress, shoes and accessories (headpiece, jewelry) were all bought online. My dress was absolutely beautiful and I received tons of compliments on it-and I didn't have to spend a fortune on it. Dealing with the store itself is a whole other story. We had to deal with them for my matron of honors dress-the 2 times I called there to make the appts., as soon as I got off the phone I knew there was going to be a problem. Sure enough, both times we showed up for our appt. and they had no record of it. However, they did 'accomodate' us and fit us in. Also, after we had purchased her gown, she found out she was pregnant and would no way fit into the dress when the wedding came around -since not alterations or anything had been done to the dress, they were nice enough to let us exchange it for another dress. You can definitely find some great values there, but need a lot of patience to deal with the actual store.

David's Bridal did not disappoint me in my expectations. I wanted to get a beautiful dress without going over about $1000. I got the dress of my dreams for $850. The quality was excellent, and I also got matching veils and a lace bolero for the church. I purchased the items in Lake Grove, then moved and had my alterations done in Westbury. I was VERY happy with the alterations, but I will say that you need to stand up for yourself in the process. The seamstresses had a somewhat "I know better than you" attitude during fittings. My mother and I both sew, so we were very assertive with what we felt needed to be changed or fixed, and we got what we wanted. I think it's a matter of standing up for your vision. Overall, I was very happy I chose David's Bridal and I recommend them to everyone I know who is getting married. Why pay more for a beautiful dress just for a designer label?

I went to the Davids Bridal in Massapequal first, good thing I did. They were very helpful and knowledgable. When I went to the one in Garden City, the lady that was helping me left me in the fitting room with a dress and no one to help me put it on. Good thing I had a cell phone with me to call my sister to come in. I bought my dress, tiara, veil, and bridesmaid dresses there. The prices were great! Customer service needs some work.

I went to the Westbury store and had the worst experience ever! I loved my dress but would never recommend someone to go there especially being that I am in the retail business! All they wanted was my money and that was it....awful awful awful place!!!! I now realize it would have been worth the money going to a small botique for the better experience...and I must say it's not like I didn't spend quite a bit of money on my dress at David's ....To me customer service is everything! If I don't receive good service there is no point in shopping there....they were completely heartless...it was sad!

FOR THE MOST PART DAVIDS BRIDAL WAS GREAT! HOWEVER THEY CANCELLED MY FITTING APPOINTMENT AND NEVER CALLED OR NOTIFIED ME I SHOWED UP WITH MY MOM AND MOH TO GET FITTED FOR MY ALTERATIONS AND NO ONE WAS THERE, ONE OF THE SALES LADIES SAID I HAD TO CALL OR COME BACK TO RESCHEDULE.

David's Bridal has a lot of up to date bridal fashions for very reasonalbe prices. However the service is lacking!!! If you are looking to have a full bridal exprience this is not the place. If you want to just try the dresses and have a friend or family member assist you than this is the place! The associates are more concerned with just selling you a dress and as many accessories they can find than they are concerned with making your vision a reality! Also make sure you get the two fittings you are entitled to if you are doing alterations because they run their alterations like a McDonalds drive thru!

I brought my money box, shoes and veil from Davids Bridal. They had a wide variety of stuff and good prices. I brought two pairs of shoes and dyed them their also. Highy recommend them.
